Abstract:
Shiwu gold deposit is located in northern part of the famous Jinshan gold field and the second largest deposit of the field. The characteristics of the rocks from shiwu gold deposit showed that SiO2 is the brough in component, Al2O3, TiO2, MgO, Na2O, K2O, and P2O5 are the carried out components, and the trace elements are rich in HFSE such as Th, U, La, Ce, Zr, and Hf, depletion of LILE such as Sr and Ba; and the rare earth elements of the rocks are characterized by LREE and HREE significant fraction and rich in LREE and significant depletion of Eu. The geochemical characteristics indicate the metallogenic material of Shiwu gold deposit are originated form Zhangcun formation and the rocks are formed in island arc geologial setting. This conclusion can provide a very important significance for the genesis of Shiwu gold deposit.
