Abstract:
The copper polymetallic deposit in the Jameson Land Basin is located in the Cu-Pb-Zn metallogenic belt, eastern Greenland. This paper combines field investigation and photomicroscopic identification to systematically study the copper polymetallic ore in the Jameson Land Basin. It can be divided into sandstone type, structural fracture zone type and siliceous rock barite type ore according to the characteristics of ore. Combined with the geological characteristics of the deposit, it is considered that the copper polymetallic deposit is a composite superimposed deposit. In the early stage, the hydrothermal exhalation formed layered siliceous barite type Cu-Pb-Zn deposits, then forms a sandstone type during terrigenous clastic sedimentation. The last ore-bearing hydrothermal fluid filled and replaced along the structure and sandstone horizon, and further hydrothermal superposition and enrichment of the early sandstone mineralized layer. A summary of the ore characteristics and genesis of the deposit will be helpful to further prospecting in the area.
