Abstract:
      To obtain the upper bound safety factors of tailings dam, the nonlinear Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion was combined with the limit analysis upper bound method by the tangent method, based on the logarithmic spiral failure mode of tailings dam, the upper bound nonlinear safety factor analysis model of tailings dam was established. Taking a tailings dam as an example, using the upper bound nonlinear safety factor analysis model, the safety factors under different nonlinear coefficients and tensile strength were obtained. Results indicated that the safety factor of tailings dam decreased with the increase of nonlinear coefficient and tensile strength. On the premise of satisfying the safety of tailings dam design, the upper bound nonlinear safety factor model of tailings dam was used to invert the design parameters. According to the inversion results, the design scheme can be optimized.
