Abstract:
A copper and nickel mine is a world-class large Cu-Ni deposit, which is designed for open pit mining, and the general volume of mining and stripping is up to 740 million tons and the highest slope is up to 645 m. For the large-scale deep open-pit mine, short stage mining combined with benches and inclined strip operation was applied, which effectively delays the stripping peak, reduces the infrastructure stripping quantity and initial production stripping ratio. This technology cuts down the investment and initial mining costs, and the economic efficiency is improved significantly.
