Abstract:The Tankou gold deposit is located in the western section of the Yushan uplift of the Cathaysian Plate. In order to quickly narrow down the target area for prospecting and evaluate the gold resource of the mining area, the 1:10000 ditch system secondary halo soil geochemical survey has been carried out, and 2 comprehensive anomalies dominated by Au elements are circled. Through the investigation of the surface anomalies, 1:2000 geological mapping, and the exposure of trenches, two gold-bearing mineralized bodies have been circled. On the basis of the surface survey, the Longwangrun section of the deposit was selected for systematic exposure and control by drilling and pitting projects, and it showed a very promising prospecting potential which indicate that this method is effective in narrowing down the target area and accurately indicating the direction of prospecting in the soil layer development area.
