Abstract:The Tianshengtang copper deposit is located in the Luoying metallogenic belt of copper polymetallic mineralization area in Dongchuan, central Yunnan. This paper mainly reports geological features of mine area, characteristics of ore body, texture and structure of copper ores etc. Based on the above observation and analysis in combination with general comparative study with other famous deposits in this metallogenic belt, the genesis of the Tianshengtang copper deposit has been discussed. The study shows that the genesis of the Tianshengtang copper deposit can be attributed to sedimentary-metamorphic superimposed by hydrothermal alteration type deposit.
